Drawing a horizon line is the simplest way
to draw a landscape as it separates
the earth and the sky. The horizon line is
an optical illusion of the Western mind that
has learned to perceive the world according
to the laws of linear perspective which
places the human being in the centre
of the universe. To this human
psyche one must see in order to believe.
Thus the horizon line is also a visual
paradox to the mind that has ceased to
believe in the divine but yet sees with ones
very eyes the heaven touching the earth
in the far distance.
