Images, like words, are but signs in

themselves and yet they redefine

the very things they signify until

the difference between them is obscured.

We then ask again if there really

is not anything out there, anything beyond

images of images,

words that play with other words,

anything beyond ourselves where

the first word was spoken.

The world that surrounds us is not within

our grasp but rather than being on

the verge of an empty universe we have

stumbled upon a gap that is itself

a sign of the world having been

created through the Word.
